Ajang MAMA 2020 telah sukses di gelar hari Minggu, 6 Desember kemarin. Meski digelar secara virtual, ajang MAMA 2020 dikemas dengan apik dan menawan dengan menggunakan teknologi canggih dan moderen. Pihak CJ ENM menjelaskan bahwa tata panggung MAMA 2020 tak hanya menampilkan teknologi seperti VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality), dan XR (extended reality), tetapi juga sistem video call yang mengundang penonton online dan gambar 3D berbasis live action.
 
Selain tampilan virtual yang canggih dan memukau, ajang MAMA 2020 juga menjadi saksi kesuksesan untuk agensi Big Hit Entertainment dimana mereka berhasil meraih 3 penghargaan untuk kategori Best Executive Producer of the Year: Bang Sihyuk, Best Producer of the Year: Pdogg, dan Favourite Dance Performance Group: TXT, yang juga meraih Worldwide Fans' Choice TOP 10. Dan sukses besar diraih oleh boygroup populer asuhan Big Hit Entertainment, BTS, berhasil meraih 8 penghargaan untuk kategori berikut:
