Screen Actors Guild Awards 2016 memang sudah selesai diselenggarakan pada 30 Januari lalu. Namun, masih banyak cerita yang tertinggal dari ajang penghargaan yang fokus pada kemampuan akting para aktor dan aktris ini.
Anjing menggemaskan ini memang telah meninggal pada Agustus di usianya yang ke-13 tahun. Menurut banyak penikmat film, terutama para penyayang hewan, kemampuan akting Uggie layak disandingkan dengan aktor dan aktris lain.
Dalam The Artist, Uggie dinilai sangat ekpresif dan bisa mengimbangi akting Jean Dujardin sang pemeran utama. Uggie juga menjadi anjing pertama yang telapak kakinya diabadikan di Hollywood Walk of Fame, tepatnya di halaman depan Grauman's Chinese Theater, bioskop paling terkenal di Hollywood.
Selain Uggie, ada beberapa nama lain yang dianggap terlupakan di bagian In Memoriam SAG Awards 2016. Mereka adalah Abe Vigoda, Dan Haggerty, David Margulies, John Compton, dan Grace Lee Whitney.
